The home of the Suffolk Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is the site for in-depth reports and information about health, wellbeing and other factors impacting on health in Suffolk.

Useful resources by small geographical areas:

  • Place-based needs assessments – PBNAs are created for Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs). They include information on housing, education and poverty, as they can affect people’s health and wellbeing.

Suffolk’s Local Government is divided into two tiers. The upper tier, the County Council, covers the whole of Suffolk; and the lower tier, is made up of four districts and one borough: Babergh, East Suffolk, Mid-Suffolk, Ipswich and West Suffolk. The Suffolk Observatory publishes profiles on the areas covered by each councillor (Divisions at the upper tier and wards at the lower tier) following each election.
